Rehearsal Updates

We are pleased to be able to resume in-person (and zoom) rehearsals once again at St Peter’s in Ashburnham Hall, which is downstairs in St Peter’s, towards the back of the main lobby area. These are on a Monday from 8.30pm-10pm. We expect people to be sensible about Covid in the coming months, and please attend by zoom if you think you might be at risk of being infectious.

What to expect

You can either join in on a computer or via phone or tablet. If you have en external speaker the sound quality may be better. To get the best quality reception the wifi signal needs to be good. If you plug your computer into the router directly by ethernet cable this can improve speeds. Also if others are using your internet service it can also slow things down.

When you are joining the meeting please join with computer audio but mute yourself during the rehearsal. You can choose if you would rather have video on or off. The buttons for this are usually found in the bottom left of the screen.

Wyn or I will teach you in much the same way as in choir rehearsals but whilst we’re doing that we won’t be able to see or hear you sing. You won’t be able to hear each other so it will feel different to a normal rehearsal, but it is an opportunity to get some learning in until we meet in person again. The other great thing is, it will keep you singing! A bit like having a personal trainer as opposed to exercising in a group or completely by yourself.
